Marsh Fest is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that holds an annual festival in Winnie, Texas. Hunting, fishing, bird watching and wildlife are some of Southeast Texas’ most popular resources.
Marsh Fest focuses on youth and local community brought to you by the Winnie Area Chamber of Commerce (WACC) to provide various events and support businesses throughout the year.
In November 2017, Shane and Aimee Chesson traveled to Stuttgart, Arkansas with their son, Trevor, to watch the world duck calling contest. Trev said to his Daddy “I’m going to buy this duck call to win the junior championship at Marsh Fest.” They were at Mack’s Prairie Wings and he bought a red and black duck call. Trevor used it on his first wood duck hunt days before his accident.
March 2018 brought the first annual Trevor Lee Chesson Memorial Marsh Fest. Come out to Marsh Fest! Trevor is watching and smiling down on you. #TLC
